Who Are Your Typical Clients?

Over Alt primarily offers web design services to small businesses and sole traders. However, we also offer our services to other similarly-sized organisations, including charities and community groups.

What Should I Expect When Scheduling A Call With Over Alt?

Instead of sales representatives, you’ll be speaking directly with your website creator. If you don’t answer, they’ll leave a message for you to return at your convenience, with no pressure or follow-up sales pitches.

Will I have a say in my website's design and feel?

Absolutely! Your business needs to reflect your brand. We’ll work with your provided logos, images and preferences to craft a site that you’ll be proud to call your own. During your call with us, and as part of our design survey, we’ll make sure to find our exactly how you want your website to look.

Are your websites GDPR compliant?

Yes. The websites that we make do not use any software or tools that collect identifiable personal data about the website’s visitors. We’re also able to provide you with reports on how many people visit your site in a completely privacy-first way, which means that there’s no need for those annoying cookie-consent popups!

Can you copy a website design that I like?

We’re happy to draw inspiration from a site that you like, but we don’t copy other people’s code! We pride ourselves on delivering websites that are exactly tailored to your needs.

How long does it take to create a website?

Typically, we work to a 3 week timeline between your initial deposit to having the website approved by you. Of course, this can vary depending on the site complexity and the promptness of feedback from our clients etc., but we’ll be able to provide you with an estimated timeframe during our initial conversation. 

When is payment required?

We only request payment once you’ve approved our proposal. A small upfront payment will be made to cover initial costs, with the final balance due upon completion of your site.

Can you guarantee a top ranking on google?

Achieving the number one spot on Google cannot be guaranteed due to the secret nature of their algorithm. However, we do optimise your site for search engines using tested and proven techniques to enhance visibility.

Can I choose my email addresses?

Definitely! Whether it’s or, you have the freedom to choose.

Can I request a specific domain name?

Absolutely! After all, your domain name is the gateway to your website. As long as it’s available and priced at a standard rate (i.e. doesn’t cost us hundreds), we’re happy to purchase one on your behalf as part of our web design packages. We’re always happy chat through all the options with you in more detail.

If I've already own a domain name, is that an issue?

Not at all – a lot of our clients come to us after already having purchased a domain name. We’ll talk you through how to give us access to it so that we can do all the necessary technical things, then everything will work perfectly (this is super straightforward). If you’re not comfortable giving us access, then that’s no problem either – we can give you some instructions for how you can do the technical things yourself in just a few clicks.
